The Zionist Enterprises Department works to promote and strengthen Jewish and Zionist identity, inspired by Herzl’s vision of an exemplary society, by instilling the values of mutual responsibility, accountability, and proactive engagement.
We focus on community and educational leadership, Judaism as a living cultural identity, and community-building initiatives.
Through these efforts, the Department strengthens the place of Israel and Judaism within Diaspora Jewish communities, fosters meaningful connections between communities, and deepens ties with young Jews and those who feel disconnected.
We are also committed to research and development in the fields of Jewish identity and Judaism as culture. Our mission is to make it possible for every Jew — anywhere in the world and in Israel — to explore and develop their Jewish identity through a humanistic and cultural lens, with Israel at its heart.
Our core values:
• The centrality of the State of Israel to the Jewish people
• Judaism as a dynamic and evolving cultural identity
• Pluralism, tolerance, inclusion, equality, and democracy
• A community-based approach grounded in mutual responsibility, accountability, and proactive engagement, stemming from a shared sense of purpose.
