Activities of our Teaching Emissaries

The emissaries of the World Zionist Organization in Jewish schools around the world have become warriors of Israeli propaganda. Since the outbreak of the war, they have been concerned with the unity of Israel and the preservation of the relationship between the people of Israel and the State of Israel. Their activities include handing out Shabbat candles with a special prayer for the hostages to be rescued, spreading stories of heroism, selling bracelets to raise donations and conducting Zoom meetings with Israeli children from the south.

Teaching Emissaries

The World Zionist Organization continues supporting the emissaries who flew back to Israel under Order 8 (mandatory reserve draft) while supporting their wives who stayed behind abroad.

The women receive psychological support when necessary, professional counseling, help in various areas and enriching lectures.

Zoom Meetings

  • A Zoom meeting was held for all the teaching unit's envoys in the world, which included words of encouragement, information from Israel advocacy as well as tips for resilience.
  • Weekly Zoom meetings are held on various topics for 44 women whose spouses returned to Israel for reserve duty. Lecturers include Sivan Rahav Meir and Revital Witelzon.
  • In addition, there was an online meeting for all school principals on the subject of how to leverage the situation in Israel for Zionist action in schools.
Reserve Duty
  • Assistance was given both in finding plane tickets and in financing thirty nine emissaries who returned to Israel to enlist in reserve duty.
  • The World Zionist Organization continues to accompany its teaching emissaries in the Diaspora and the emissaries who returned to Israel for reserve duty.
  • We visited some of our returning emissaries at their bases and assembly areas.

Supporting our Emissaries

  • The wives of the emissaries who remained in the field receive close support from a WhatsApp support group, a weekly meeting with a counselor, a meeting with a child psychologist and weekly packages delivered to their homes.
  • We closely accompany the emissaries with the educational and pedagogic issues that they are dealing with during this period and in dealing mentally and physically with the distance from Israel and the rising anti-Semitism.

Course for Teenagers

  • There is a 4-session course for teenagers in Jewish schools in the USA on advocacy, using media and creating original materials in order to explain the situation in Israel. At the end of the course, they will meet Israeli teenagers on Zoom and work on joint products.
