ZIONIST AND SOLIDARITY EDUCATIONAL MISSION TO ISRAEL

The horrors of October 7th changed reality as we know it. The terrible massacre and the deeds of the perpetrators of injustice will never be forgotten. In order to ensure that we will not forget and will continue to fight for the truth and the future of the Jewish people, a solidarity mission of educators from across Latin America arrived on Monday in Israel.

The delegation, comprising more than 20 Jewish school principals, met with displaced families, refugees in their own country, currently residing by the Dead Sea. Afterwards, the educators traveled to Kibbutz Kfar Aza and witnessed the horrors of the massacre with their own eyes.

Yesterday, they had a meeting with the President of Israel, Mr. Yitzhak Herzog, where they discussed the antisemitism in various communities in Latin America, the difficulties, challenges and ways to continue the fight against growing antisemitism worldwide. Additionally, they heard from the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lior Haiat, about Israel's foreign policy regarding the war and, specifically, in Latin America.

Later this week, the delegation will continue to meet with key figures and citizens to express solidarity and hear stories of bravery from the front lines. The educators are our ambassadors, each one in their own community. Their firsthand encounters with the war allow them to convey the message and stand for the truth.

The importance of the delegation goes far beyond expressing solidarity with Israel, as all its members are leading educators in their fields, responsible for the education of the future generation of the Jewish community in Latin America. These children will grow up to be key figures and the Jewish voice in the years to come. Therefore, our great duty is to convey to them the stories of October 7th and its implications for the Jewish people, both in Israel and in communities worldwide.

For the sake of the present, and especially for the future of the Jewish people, it is crucial to pass on the narratives of October 7th and its impact. These educators play a vital role in shaping the perspectives and understanding of the younger generation, ensuring that they carry the torch of Jewish identity and history.

Many thanks to our partners and to all the participants in the delegation, who chose to leave everything and come to Israel during a time of war to show their solidarity and express their support.
