HINENI (Here I am!!) a 4-day Solidarity Mission of 33 community educational leaders from 9 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, and UK) was carried out between 5-8 February with the initiative of the ECJC and the support of JDC and the Zionist Enterprises Department.
The desire of the members of the delegation to learn about what happened and is happening in Israel and to express their continued support stood out. The busy schedule included an opening meeting with the former Diaspora Minister, Dr. Nachman Shai, a visit to the Foreign Ministry, meetings and lectures by Neil Lazarus, Sergio De Pergola, CEO of the Eran Association Shiri Daniels and more. They also visited Kibbutz Kfar Gaza and Reim and heard from survivors about what happened. They were moved by the Israeli action for the soldiers at the Gilat junction and met with evacuees from the south and the north. They also visited the headquarters and Hostages square (Kikar Hahatufim) and met with representatives of the families.
"HINENI" (I am), more than a delegation of solidarity, is a delegation of an unequivocal and victorious position that says: "We, all that we are, with all that we are and all that we can be". (Site 929).
