As a part of the activities on Facebook, the World Zionist Organization invited the public to write letters to people whom they want to light up the holiday. Ten of the most meaningful letters were chosen and they received flowers and chocolate. The letter receivers included bereaved families, evacuated families, soldiers in active reserve duty and more.
One of the families was especially meaningful. A follower asked to light up her sister's holiday. Her sister was evacuated from Kiryat Shmona to Jerusalem, she's nine months pregnant, her husband is in active reserve duty and they have three little kids at home. So we went to light candles with them in a festive, Zionist celebration, to spread light and provide a sweet feeling. We even merited a special surprise!
