‘Chanukah of Heroes’ is a digital project in which stories of heroism from the Swords of Iron war were distributed to English, French, Spanish and Portuguese speaking Jewish communities in the Diaspora. The stories were distributed to Jewish newspapers abroad, federations and communities.
This goal is to put a spotlight on the heroic stories of the war during the Chanukah holiday and to connect communities in the Diaspora to Israel through the values of heroism and resurrection.
The project is a collaboration between the World Zionist Organization and the personal initiative of four mothers, who took it upon themselves to tell stories of heroism in a way suitable for children aged nine plus.
