120 Years of Zionism Display at Ben Gurion Airpot

The “120 Years of Zionism”, launched in the begining of 2017,  marks the establishment of the World Zionst Congress in 1897. The largest exhibit ever displayed in Ben Gurion Airport, “120 Years of Zionism” stretches for more than 400 feet, reminding those departing Israel of the Zionist legacy and encouraging them to carry Israel’s story with them wherever they go. Early Zionist leaders and founders of the State of Israel are featured prominently in the exhibit, including Theodor Herzl and David Ben Gurion, alongside some perhaps lesser-known figures in Israeli history, including the first female MK and one of the signatories of the Israeli Declaration of Independence, Rachel Cohen-Kagan and Joseph Klausner, the editor of the Encyclopedia Hebraica. Subjects ranging from Aliyah and absorption, settlement of the land and agriculture, to Israel’s relationship with the Diaspora, Jerusalem, the resurrection of Hebrew as a spoken language, and Israel’s defense and security are all included in the display, with captions in both Hebrew and English.
