A mission comprising 17 prominent leadership figures from all the Zionist youth movements in Australia and New Zealand visited Israel
on a program organized through the joint auspices of the World Zionist Organization, the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Zionist Federation of Australia. The program highlights for youth movement representatives and Jewish student society delegates included a fact-finding mission and tour of the Gaza border region communities, a hands-on encounter with IDF soldiers, with evacuees and another with families of the hostages. On the final day of their tour, they attended a wrap-up meeting with the
Chairman of the World Zionist Organization, the Head of the Department for Irgun and Israelis Abroad, and the Head of the Department for Pioneering Youth and Future Generations, which took place in the Ben Gurion Hall at the National Institutions building.
A Zoom meeting was held for Israelis living in New Zealand and Australia to provide tools for advocacy on social media, and for an open conversation about what it means to be an Israeli abroad during a war in Israel. The conversation about tools for advocacy was led by David Saranga, head of the digital diplomacy division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
