Declaration of Independence

Every year, between Yom HaShoah and Yom Ha'atzmaut, the World Zionist Organization holds a festive event for reading Megillat Ha'atzmaut at the egalitarian Kotel. We broadcast it live in various languages to the entire Jewish world. This is our way of celebrating Israel’s independence and strengthening our sense of Jewish peoplehood, both in Israel and abroad.
