Across Canada · Yom Ha'atzmaut 2026
As part of the “Holiday Madrichim” project of the WZO's Department for Zionist Operations, two counselors traveled during the week of Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut to Jewish communities in Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and London (Ontario). Over the week, they led 25 events and programs for a wide range of audiences, all in the spirit of Zionism and Jewish culture. They served as featured speakers at local Yom HaZikaron ceremonies and led activities for children and youth at two Yom Ha'atzmaut celebrations in different communities.
