Ann Arbor, MI | Tulsa, OK | Omaha, NE | April 2026
As part of Yom Ha'atzmaut celebrations across the United States, the WZO North America delegation led a collaborative community art project - a coloring installation themed around Israel and Zionism — that traveled to the Jewish communities of Ann Arbor (Michigan), Tulsa (Oklahoma), and Omaha (Nebraska).
Children and adults alike gathered around the installation, coloring it together and adding their personal touch to a shared canvas of Israeli identity and pride. The activity brought an experiential, hands-on dimension to each community's Independence Day celebrations and deepened a sense of personal connection to Israel.
The intergenerational gathering around the wall created a warm atmosphere of community bonding — and brought plenty of color, creativity, and Israeli joy to the festivities.
