Fair Lawn, NJ | April 2026
For the third consecutive year, the Fair Lawn community came together for a festive, community-wide celebration in honor of Israel's 78th Independence Day - drawing approximately 500 participants from across generations and backgrounds.
The event was initiated by the WZO delegation in North America, in partnership with KKL-JNF, the Fair Lawn Jewish Center, and Shevet Lehava.
Israelis and Americans, children and adults, secular and religious - all gathered as one large community celebrating a shared Jewish-Zionist identity. The evening featured a DJ, an interactive musical show, Israeli dancing, activity stations for all ages, food stands, and a local vendor fair, creating a vibrant atmosphere of joy and pride.
Mayor of Fair Lawn Cristina Cutrone and Commissioner Vice-Chairwoman Tracy Silna Zur honored the occasion with their presence and greetings to the community - a meaningful gesture that underscored the central and valued place of the Jewish-Israeli community in Fair Lawn.
