Launch of the "Zionist Salons" Facilitator Training Seminar – Denver, CO

The World Zionist Organization’s North America delegation, together with the Department for Zionist Enterprises and in collaboration with WJC NextGen, held the inaugural training seminar in Denver, Colorado (January 11–13), attended by 15 NextGen members from the US, Canada, and Mexico. This event marks the beginning of a strategic initiative, launching a new innovative "Zionist Salons" model, designed to equip emerging young leaders with the tools to navigate complex conversations regarding Zionism and identity in a post-October 7 world. Participants took part in narrative development workshops, seminars on contemporary Zionism, historical literacy sessions, and hands-on simulations. Throughout the seminar, the group explored issues facing Israeli society, Jewish peoplehood, and the evolving debates shaping the Jewish world today. The program emphasized values-driven dialogue, preparing participants to lead thoughtful, meaningful conversations in their home communities. The group met with Renée Rockford, President & CEO of JewishColorado, who provided insights into the recent evolution of Denver’s Jewish community. Additionally, an open conversation on community safety and coalition-building was held with representatives from the JCRC and the Secure Community Network (SCN). The group also visited Golda Meir’s teenage home and received a historical overview from Executive Director Lena Fishman. Participants toured the site where Meir formed her political and Zionist worldview before immigrating to Israel, leaving with a strong foundation for leadership during these challenging times.
