The annual conference of Israeli community leaders in North America

Strengthening Israeli Communities: Third Annual Leaders’ Conference in Miami

The Department for Irgoon and Israelis Abroad held its third annual conference for Israeli community leaders in North America this past weekend in Miami – a tradition that gets stronger each year.

Over two days, community leaders from across North America gathered to engage in dialogue and deepen their understanding of the connections between Israeli and Jewish communities. Led by Gusti Yehoshua Braverman, the department head, along with executive director Yaniv Nachmias and North American representatives Lior Sagi and Yahav Barnea, the conference emphasized the importance of strengthening Israeli-Zionist identity within the communities.

Key topics discussed under the professional guidance of Michal Guttman included new research on “The New Israeli in Israel and Abroad,” a panel with U.S. Jewish leaders, and inspiring success stories from the field, such as the Charlotte, NC community, the Israeli Hug center in New York, and the Israeli Center at the Tenafly, NJ JCC. Throughout the conference, participants carried deep concern for the hostages held in Gaza and reaffirmed the community’s unwavering commitment to demand their immediate release. The people of Israel beat as one heart, and no Jew in the world will find peace until they all return home safely.
