The North American tour of the Israeli play Without an Evil Eye opened with a powerful and emotional performance in Boston, followed by additional shows in Toronto, Vancouver, and Palo Alto.
The play, which tells the extraordinary life story of Assaf Ben Shimon, captivated audiences with its heartfelt themes of faith, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams. It created a deep emotional bond between personal experience and collective Jewish identity, leaving a lasting impression on Israeli and Hebrew-speaking communities across North America.
The opening event in Boston was attended by Michal Cababia, Representative of the WZO Executive in North America, who delivered welcoming remarks to open the evening. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of nurturing Jewish identity and strengthening the connection between the Diaspora and the State of Israel.
The tour was held in collaboration with local JCCs and the "Hanefesh" Theater and received enthusiastic responses and overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiences at every stop.
