Tikkun Leil Shavuot

Tikkun Leil Shavuot - 2025

Under the initiative of Yizhar Hess, Vice Chairman of the World Zionist Organization, a special Shavuot night study session was held at the Manhattan JCC on the night between June 1st and 2nd. The event, themed “Israel–Diaspora Relations & Jewish Peoplehood: From Crisis to Healing,” was organized to foster meaningful dialogue around resilience, Jewish identity, and collective hope in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks.

Michal Cababia, the WZO Executive Representative in North America, participated in the event and moderated the opening panel discussion, which focused on campus life after October 7. The program brought together prominent speakers from the fields of higher education, mental health, education, and Jewish communal life, including students, professionals, rabbis, and parents of hostages.

The evening drew a strong turnout and offered broad exposure to the work of the World Zionist Organization, underscoring its commitment to strengthening Jewish peoplehood and Israel–Diaspora relations during these challenging times.
