The Movement for Judaism as a Culture

The Movement for Judaism as Culture seeks to establish a global, Zionist, liberal, and democratic Jewish home - a broad and diverse tent with clear ethical boundaries for individuals, communities, and organizations in Israel and the Diaspora who view Judaism as a living, evolving culture and wish to shape it through partnership, creativity, mutual responsibility, and a meaningful connection to Israel. By developing a conceptual and research-based foundation, building community networks and grassroots leadership, as well as fostering collaborations that drive civic and public action, the Movement will transform Jewish culture, tradition, and heritage from objects merely to be preserved into sources of meaning, resilience, and inspiration, as well as a basis for jointly addressing the challenges of the 21st century.
