Dr. Moshe Etzioni

• Was born on August 28, 1908, in Galicia, Poland.
• In 1932, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Krakow.
• In 1935, he received the title of Doctor of Laws.
• While still in Poland, he was active in the World Zionist Organization and various youth organizations. From time to time he published articles in the press and edited one of the weeklies.
• In 1936 he immigrated to Israel, at the beginning of his career he worked as a construction worker and lived in Tel Aviv.
• In 1937 he moved to Jerusalem.
• Between the years 1936-1948 he served in the Hagana.
• In the years 1940-1937 he studied the laws of the Land of Israel at the Law School in Jerusalem and at the same time worked as the secretary of the Rehavia Committee and the Bar Association.
• In 1940 he qualified as a lawyer and worked for two years in the office of Adv. Eliash.
• In 1942, he was appointed to the position of legal advisor of the heavy industry and war production department in the mandate government.
• In 1945, he was appointed as a judge of the Magistrate's Court in Jerusalem, and then in the court in Tel Aviv.
• In 1948, with the establishment of the state, he was appointed as chief judge of the Magistrate's Court in Haifa.
• In 1949, he was appointed as a judge in the district court in Haifa.
• In 1954, he chaired the "Tivun" committee, which was appointed to investigate the education system in the Gadna, when one of the trainees died during a trip on behalf of the Gadna.
• In 1958, he chaired the "Sheta Committee", which was appointed to investigate the circumstances of the mass escape from the Sheta prison.
• In 1959 he was appointed acting president of the district court in Haifa.
• He served as chairman of the "Wadi Salib" committee.
• In 1966 he was appointed as a judge In practice at the Supreme Court.
• In 1969 he was appointed president of the district court in Haifa.
• He served as chairman of the appeals committee under the Veterans Law.
• In 1970 he was appointed as a judge at the Supreme Court.
• On 01/01/1978 he retired from office.
• He passed away in 1998.
