Julian's Story — A Survivor's Testimony from October 7th

Filmed Testimony

On Saturday morning, October 7th, the red alert sounded at 6:30 AM. Julian grabbed his little dog and rushed to the safe room, expecting to be there for just ten minutes.

He tried to call Carol — there was no answer.

On his phone, he read the news that terrorists had entered homes in the community. Moments later, he heard his front door broken open and voices speaking in Arabic inside his house. Julian held onto the handle of the safe room door from the inside, while on the other side, someone tried to force it open — banging on the door with the butt of a rifle and shouting. Eventually, they left. They returned later, only to loot.

At 15:30, the army reached him and brought him out.

It was then that Julian learned that Carol, her dog, her son and his wife, and their children had all been murdered in their homes.
