The Department for the Promotion of Aliyah works to sow the seeds of Aliyah to Israel by strengthening the connection between Jewish communities around the world and the State of Israel, fostering Jewish and Zionist identity, and deepening the sense of belonging to the Jewish people.
The Department for the Promotion of Aliyah promotes Hebrew language learning through an international network of Ulpan programs, teacher training, and accessible Hebrew learning opportunities for Jewish communities and individuals worldwide. In addition, it leads a variety of programs and initiatives that strengthen the connection to Israel, including community activities, Aliyah fairs and Shabbat retreats, celebrations of Jewish holidays, Zionist education programs, intergenerational encounters, and programs that accompany Aliyah candidates and their families.
