Yigal Brand serves as a member of the management of the World Zionist Organization and the director of the Hebrew and Culture Department.
He has been the CEO of the World Betar movement since 2021.
Between 2018 and 2019, he served as the minister of sports and culture’s chief of staff.
Between 2011 and 2017, he served as the CEO of the Zionist Council in Israel.
Yigal Brand has a bachelor’s degree in law, and a master’s degree in political science, through the program for senior officers. He is a commander, in the reserves, of an armor brigade’s reconnaissance company, and has the rank of major (res.).
Yigal grew up in the town of Kedumim, and he is the son of Zvimi and Esti Brand. He’s married to Michal, lives in Yakir, a community in Samaria, and has five children.
