Garin Tzameret

Garin Tzameret operates in the social and geographic periphery with youth and young people in order to generate community resilience through the development of local leadership in the light of Jewish values. The Garin integrates volunteers from a diverse spectrum of Israeli society with the belief that in order to operate within society we must represent all aspects of it and can thus be a model of coexistence - religious and secular people, right-wing and left-wing denominations etc. We believe in changing the way of doing things at the heart of the community.

The Garin’s activity includes: leading local leadership groups, establishing various other  groups, accompanying local training and volunteering groups, running youth clubs, leading activities supporting the absorption of Aliya, training at-risk youth and more. We encourage new initiatives and ideas and accompany the “Shinshinim” in actualizing this.

In addition, we dedicate one day a week to enriching our knowledge about Israeli society, Jewish identity, politics, Zionism and leadership. Throughout the current year we held seminars with an emphasis on providing professional tools for working with youth, and series on a variety of topics that are eye opening and real. The Garin operates in Tzfat, Arad , Beit Shemesh, Beit Shean, Ma'ale Adumim, Ofakim, Chatzor and Kiryat Shmona.
