We have become accustomed to the idea of touring without getting out of
our chairs, without our coffee getting cold or beer getting warm (except
of course, in England). For some of us, the Bible is something we read
for comfort or knowledge, but for many it is far removed from our daily
reality.
We have therefore created the Tour of Biblical Israel . This site is
both a resource for our course in Biblical Geography, and is also
designed as an educational and enjoyable site within itself, putting
both the Land of Israel and the Bible in some perspective to which we can
relate.
One of the nicest aspects of visiting Israel is that the Bible becomes
alive . It is no longer , a "history book" or revelation, but an actual
tour guide. Holding onto that thought, it is our hope that this site will
provide you with a greater insight to both the Land of Israel and the
Bible, whetting your appetite for more of either. Perhaps it will
encourage you to finish your cup of coffee and take a walk - map in one
hand, the Bible in the other.
So with a copy of the Bible in your hand , click on the map, and enjoy
yourself. Oh - and don't read on the bus - it can make you car sick.
