These missions find their foundation in strong ideologies and values that make up the core of the Shlichut. They use a set of actions over time to promote advocacy through provide assistance to the Jewish community in the Diaspora, as well as cultural awareness and a promotion of the arts with other outreach teaching programs.

Undergoing the Screening for Shlichim

Shlichut participants go through a training and screen process before going on a mission to see whether these candidates are prepared to undergo the Shlichut.

These energetic applicants are typically professionals and young people in their twenties that work with the Zionist organizations to reach out to the Jewish youth in Diaspora and make a difference. The purpose of Shlichim is to promote Zionist activity as well as conduct social events, campus activities, advocacy sessions, and educational programs that further Jewish culture.

Living the Values of Jewish Doctrine

One type of Shlichim includes sending an Israeli family that encourages Jewish communities and schools to Latin America and Spain. The WZO has Shlichim in Europe, North America, and South America that work parallel to representatives at the senior levels.

In order to join the program as an emissary, the World Zionist Organization looks in the Jewish teaching programs for individuals that are committed to sound Jewish doctrine.

A very strong belief in the power of Hebrew in addition to a strong will to promote Jewish values among the communities of Jews in Diaspora is essential. These individuals are committed to Shlichut and promote the Zionist agenda and Jewish culture proudly and effectively.
