What is "Do the Write Thing"?

Do the Write Thing is a unique national conference that focuses on the interests and needs of Jewish & Israeli journalism students and writers and young professional journalists/writers.

The workshops address issues of objectivity in the media, values in a changing world, the dynamics of power between the media and the Jewish and Israeli establishment, globalization and building journalism skills.

This year, Do the Write Thing will have a special focus on "Israel at 60", while emphasizing images of Israel in the campus and national media. Topics will cover Israel's response to terrorism, the influence of the media in foreign policy-making, Israel's domestic politics and foreign relations, perspectives on peace, media bias, the relevance of Zionism for young Jewish adults today and coverage of Israel on campus.
