Kindergarten Teacher

As part of the effort to strengthen Jewish identity in the Jewish education system in the Diaspora, we are working diligently to foster Jewish education at an early age. Thus, the need has arisen to send early-age teachers to the Diaspora. The teacher will be highly conscious of Jewish and Zionist issues. In addition to the general early-age subject matter, she will teach the children Jewish-Zionist content, create a connection to Israel and Judaism and provide Hebrew language enrichment.


Term of the Shlichut


  • Two years with an option to extend for one additional year.

 

Job Description


  • Working in a kindergarten.
  • Initiating and implementing educational programs in order to bring the children closer to Judaism and Israel.
  • Hebrew language enrichment.


Basic Requirements for the Shlichut


 

  • Continuous presence in Israel during the previous five years
  • Full command of Hebrew and specified fluency in the local language
  • Army/National Service
  • Completion of the selection and training process


Position Requirements


  • Minimum two years experience working in early age education
  • Professional training in education of 2-6 year old children
  • Intermediate knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of Judaism and Zionism
  • Preliminary meeting with the host community

  • Initiative and motivation
